Orchard on the Lake

Eckenhoff Saunders created prototype residences for a 30-parcel development located on a 112-acre orchard with views of Pine Lake. The classic Midwestern farmstead inspired the three design prototypes. Each prototype will have two variations. First, the development was master-planned around the original orchard, preserving the trees and blending the homes into the rolling topography. Individual homes range in size from 1,900 to 2,900 sf and offer three to five bedrooms with two to three baths.
The architecture captures elements of the traditional American homestead and includes:
- Vertical cedar siding
- Oversized windows
- Large wood-burning fireplaces with stone chimneys
- Wraparound porches
- Open floor plans
