Uptown One on the Circle, a mixed-use hotel and residential development, is one of the final parcels to be developed on the Circle. It joins the new $43 million multi-modal transportation center, state-of-the-art children’s museum, and more than $150 million in public and private investments to reinvigorate the growing community.
Eckenhoff Saunders was retained for the architecture and planning of the Uptown One project. The project embraces the Town of Normal’s vision for their Uptown neighborhood and joins with recent and planned projects to extend its character. This is accomplished in several key ways: the project continues the pedestrian arcade along the traffic circle, reinforcing the park as the key neighborhood space, and animates it with planned café seating for the street-level restaurant.
