New 130,000 sf, LEED certified ambulatory care center with enclosed bridge to hospital

The new Skokie Hospital Ambulatory Care Center will contain 130,000 sf of clinical and physician office space and will connect to the hospital via a glass-enclosed bridge and a tunnel for staff on the lower level. The building features four levels and will have a full lower level containing building related mechanical and electrical equipment. It has been designed to accommodate up to three additional floors of vertical expansion. The facility features a glass-roofed canopy of patterned glass off the windowed atrium, which is flooded with natural light. Also visible from the atrium is a bridge on the second floor that extends into the adjacent hospital. The building is designed to exceed LEED certification standards.
