As part of the effort to streamline laboratory services within NorthShore University HealthSystem, Skokie Hospital's new 10,000 sf Clinical Laboratory is repositioned within the facility and non-urgent testing is sent to the system’s main laboratory at Evanston Hospital. The Clinical Laboratory’s new adjacency to the surgery and inpatient units addresses specific staff needs and improves work flow efficiencies. It is designed to permit future flexibility as equipment and processes evolve, as well as to reduce errors and wait times for results.
