Northlight Theatre

Eckenhoff Saunders is partnering with Northlight Theatre to bring the organization back to Evanston, where it originally started 45 years ago. Currently located in Skokie, Northlight is one of the largest nonprofit professional theatres in the Chicago area.
The plan involves the purchase of a building located on Church Street near downtown Evanston and construction of a new 300-seat, thrust proscenium mainstage theatre, rehearsal hall, and backstage support spaces as Phase 1. Phase 2 will include a 125-seat “black box” studio theatre. The theatre will also feature a cafe and rooftop deck, becoming a new destination in downtown Evanston.
