Highland Park, Illinois
Located on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan, the Neil Coleman Education Center is part of the the first phase in B’nai Torah’s campus expansion. The building was designed to accommodate future connection to the existing worship facility and to accommodate administrative and community functions as other aging structures on the campus are demolished. Providing panoramic views of Lake Michigan, the new 15,600 sf building includes a library, youth lounge, computer lab, and tutoring rooms, as well as outdoor learning and play space. Clerestory windows focus the view on the water while a series of slender steel columns mirrors the surrounding natural woodlands.
