This facility on the Evanston Hospital campus reflects the latest research on cancer treatment. At the project’s outset, ESA met with an advisory panel of current patients and cancer survivors to determine which design elements were most important to those undergoing care. The result is an open, comfortable space filled with greenery and natural illumination from extensive skylights.
In addition to providing a variety of treatment settings that include family treatment rooms, private rooms, and a nine-chair infusion center, the facility offers a patient resource center, a flexible education center, and open office and conference space for doctors and researchers.
The five-story, 48,000 s.f. building is certified LEED Silver.
