Joliet Junior College – Respiratory Therapy Program

Joliet Junior College (JJC) is a public community college located in Joliet, Illinois, serving more than 38,000 students annually and offering 180 + degrees and certificates. JJC retained Eckenhoff Saunders to improve and expand its respiratory therapy program, which has become vital in training students for real-world scenarios, especially in light of the pandemic.
Eckenhoff Saunders developed a Simulated Training Lab with an associated reception area, offices, classrooms, multipurpose room, and a lab classroom in approximately 7,000 sf of shell space within their existing primary health services building on campus. The project also includes a new U Building reception area and a security desk within the building atrium. This project commenced in June 2020 and was completed in July 2021.
