This healthcare campus combines modern amenities with natural elements, focusing on a large detention pond to create a curative place for receiving medical treatment. Warm-toned brick, water features, a fireplace, a tasteful interior, exterior landscaping, and abundant natural light endow the space with a sense of serenity. Eckenhoff Saunders extended the visual identity created for the client’s other facilities by employing similar masonry and metal accents on the building’s exterior.
The two-story atrium’s curving glassy wall echoes the pond’s natural lines. A simple rectangular form, which provides flexibility for expansion, houses the clinical areas. These include facilities for 24-hour urgent care, physical and occupational therapy, sports medicine, a neurophysiology/sleep center, and private physicians’ offices.
