First Midwest Bank
The First Midwest Bank Naperville branch is a 2,960 sf single-story community bank facility with a three-lane drive-through. The building height and envelope was developed to blend in with nearby residences. Site lighting and traffic control were crafted to minimize the property’s geographic footprint. Numerous light bollards illuminate and accent landscaping, walkways, buildings and parking areas.
Two colors of a standard brick and cast stone were used throughout the project. The entrance canopy features sleek painted structural steel with integral downlights. Budgetary constraints led to the removal of the clerestory windows, but the central volume was maintained to provide an open sense inside.
Decorative pendant lighting provides a comfortable sense of scale. Special care was taken to create a classic, clean interior with the use of dark woods, light walls, and neutral tones.
