This five-story, LEED Silver 48,000 sf cancer treatment facility for NorthShore University HealthSystem on the Evanston Hospital campus reflects the latest research on cancer treatment. At the project’s outset, the architects met with an advisory panel made up of current patients and cancer survivors to determine which design elements were most important to those undergoing care. The result is an open, comfortable space filled with greenery and natural light from extensive skylights.
In addition to providing a variety of treatment options, including family treatment rooms, private rooms, and a nine-chair infusion center, the facility offers a patient resource center, a flexible education center, as well as open office and conference space for doctors and researchers.
