New cancer care center and sleep disorders lab

Completed in two phases, this new facility houses the Ingalls Health System’s cancer care center and sleep disorders lab. The building blends with the campus’s existing structures but retains a distinctive identity. A glass-enclosed corridor overlooking an outdoor healing garden connects the center to the rest of the campus.
In the cancer care center, careful attention was given to privacy, access, and comfort. Access between exam, gowning, and treatment areas is direct and radiation is provided in a dynamic circular vault with a skylight.
The state-of-the-art sleep disorders lab includes four sleep studies rooms and facilities to perform EEG and EMG monitoring.
