The new freestanding plant for Skokie Hospital centralizes and modernizes generation of steam, chilled water and emergency power for the campus. The compact structure has subgrade connections to existing lower levels and the main hospital fan rooms via a specially designed roof top pipe enclosure. Adjacent to the plant and now being constructed as a second phase is the new materials management areas including dock, clean, and soiled holding area.
