Congregation B’nai Torah

Campus masterplan and new education building
Highland Park, Illinois

Congregation B’nai Torah’s location on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan posed unique challenges for its campus expansion. ESA worked closely with the City of Highland Park to negotiate permission to build a 16,000 sf multipurpose center on the site. Designed for the congregation’s religious school, along with a library and meeting space, the new building maximizes views of the lake with a glass wall and embarks on a new direction for campus architecture.
