Ingalls Health System's Calumet City campus originally consisted of a 30,000 sf facility housing urgent aid, family medicine, and imaging. ESA assisted Ingalls in planning several options for expansion, resulting in the acquisition of two 30,000 sf adjacent structures for use as new physician office space. ESA subsequently provided all design work necessary for the conversion of the new buildings and the architectural integration of them with the original family care center.
An impressive canopy was added to connect the Family Care Center to the medical office buildings; it is designed for potential future enclosure to serve as conference and meeting space.
