Skokie Hospital Central Plant
Under construction. 27,000 sf central plant with attached one-story loading dock
Skokie, Illinois
Skokie Hospital’s new two-story, 23,500 sf Central Plant includes a partial basement and mezzanine, in addition to a one-story, 9,735 sf loading dock feature and extensive skylights.
The energy efficient plant will contain hospital chillers, materials management services, boilers, rooftop cooling towers, and emergency generators. The highly technical project, which includes complex rooftop piping that connects to the hospital, also boasts a vibrant aesthetic. It connects to the lower level of the hospital via a glass-enclosed bridge.
Part of ESA’s $110 million masterplan implementation at Skokie Hospital, the facility is being designed to LEED certification standards.
